The UNESCO Chair considers penetration of ICTs into all spheres of human life and related digital transformations as a vehicle for changes in educational institutions, forms and strategies of teaching and learning, and learning culture as a whole. The UNESCO Chair focuses on the study of the emerging technologies and their impact on educational practice, considers trends and evolution of technologies, analyzes and summarizes the lessons learned capitalizing on the decades of its experience. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the ICT potential to ensure equitable and inclusive lifelong learning opportunities for all. The Chair activities are aimed at support of introduction of innovative technologies in the educational process and include sharing of good practices through research publications, followed by the development of educational programs, organization of training courses, workshops, conferences, and participation in UNESCO webinars.
Objectives
The main objectives of the Chair are development of theory and practice of information technologies use in education and learning, experience sharing and knowledge exchange supported by the international educational and research communities, integration and implementation of national and regional policies and strategies for sustainable development.
