The UNESCO Chair in New Information Technologies in Education for All is functioning at the International Research and Training Center for Information Technologies and Systems (IRTC irtc.org.ua) since 2002.

The UNESCO Chair is catalyzing regional debate on how knowledge, education and learning need to be reimagined in Ukraine while dealing with increasing complexity, uncertainty, and turbulence. Serving as a laboratory of ideas, the UNESCO Chair guides efforts to help all stakeholders understand the role intelligent information technologies can play towards achievement of SDGs.

Director Emeritus of the IRTC, Corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Volodymyr Grytsenko is a Chair holder of the UNESCO Chair in New Information Technologies in Education for All (ITEA).

Director Emeritus of the IRTC, Corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Volodymyr Grytsenko is a Chair holder of the UNESCO Chair in New Information Technologies in Education for All (ITEA). Professor Grytsenko is a famous scientist in the field of computer science, intelligent information technologies and systems and their applications in education, industry, economy, social sphere. He authored over 400 scientific publications including 19 books. He is an editor-in-chief of the journals “Control Systems and Machines” and “Cybernetics and Computer Engineering”, a member of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, a member of the Advisory Council on Informatization for the Parliament of Ukraine, a Chairman of the Technical Committee for Standardization in Ukraine in the field of “Information Technology”.
